Ofcom to align UK Digital Dividend Spectrum with Europe

On Monday the UK regulator Ofcom announced proposals to align more of the spectrum released as part of the UK's digital dividend with other European countries.

The proposals would result in the frequency block 790-862 MHz being freed across Europe for use by new innovative services.

Programme-Making and Special Events (PMSE) currently use 854-862 MHz (Channel 69) and under the new proposals would have to relocate.

Regretably there doesn't appear to be a common European allocation for PMSE.
