PRISM Earth picture success

The Prism Amateur Radio satellite, launched Jan 23, has successfully taken a picture of the Earth using the Wide Angle Camera.

Since the camera settings are are not fully adjusted the image itself is not very clear, but the team have successfully demonstrated that the camera functions and can be commanded.

In a posting the the AMSAT Bulletin Board Mineo JE9PEL writes:

Grand Station of Tokyo University have succeeded to take the Earth picture with Sub-camera, WAC (Wide Angle Camera).

They have said as follows,
Although it was liable to exposure exaggerated for a while, it was checked that WAC camera apparatus is functioning normally. We will be going to do adjustment of an exposure parameter from now on.
