Western Sahara to be activated on RTTY in April

The Western Sahara will be activated on RTTY in April by Radio Amateurs using the call SO4R

There is little Amateur Radio activity from Western Sahara so an activation on RTTY is particularly welcome.

Western Sahara was once adminstered by Spain, however control was relinquished in the 1990's and Spain now only administers two remaining North African enclaves, Melilla and Ceuta, just across from the straits from Gibraltar.
