EI7DAR SOS Radio Week videos

Special event station EI7DAR was active for SOS Radio Week and videos of the event are now available on YouTube.

SOS Radio Week is a week-long fund raising event for Amateur Radio operators to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

'EI7DAR special event station SOS radio week 20m pile-up' Anthony (Tony) EI8GHB works the EI7DAR (Dundalk Amateur Radio Society) special event station at Clogherhead to highlight the work of the Clogherhead lifeboat for SOS Radio Week.

Here he works a huge pile-up on 20 metres and is calling for number 5 stations.

If you've ever wondered how the RNLI get their lifeboat from the water to the lifeboat station on the shore, wonder no more! This video shows the Doris Bleasdale, the Clogherhead lifeboat, being taken ashore. The antennas of the EI7DAR station can be seen in the background.
