Lost ham radio gear - a happy ending

On Monday, we reported on the loss, by a Kent radio amateur, of his Yaesu handheld.

Well, it was a story that was to have a happy ending.

Chris, M3OZP from Folkestone in Kent, had lost his Yaesu VX-6E radio on the previous Friday, after the belt clip on the radio had broken.

It was found by a Shepway District Council worker over the weekend, and has since been returned to him. The radio was undamaged and full of life - the battery still fully charged.

Chris is now hoping that his new-found good luck will extend at least as far as the next national lottery draw.
