NASA Solar Dynamic Observatory webcastToday February 10 at 14:30-15:45 GMT (09:30-10:45 EST) there will be a webcast about NASA's Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO) on the Digital Learning Network (DLN) The SDO is planned to launch on an Atlas V rocket at about 15:26 GMT (10:26 EST). Part of the event is a synopsis of the Poly Picosatellite Orbital Deployer (P-POD) Program and the ELaNa (Educational Launch of Nanosatellites) Project from NASA's Kennedy Space Center's Launch Services Program (LSP). The ELaNa Project consists of 1 P-POD with 3 1U CubeSats manifested as an auxiliary payload on the Taurus XL launch vehicle for NASA's Glory mission slated for November. You can join the webcast at http://dln.nasa.gov/dln/ NASA's Digital Learning Network (DLN) began in the spring of 2004 with three hub sites at Langley, Glenn and Johnson and now extends to all 10 field centers. Through interactive videoconferencing, the network allows the next generation of explorers to connect with scientists, engineers and researchers without leaving the classroom. The distance-learning events are designed to educate through demonstrations and live interactions with NASA experts.
