On
the Road with PW
Practical Wireless editor Rob Mannion G3XFD
always enjoys meeting readers of PW, and often tours the country visiting
amateur radio clubs throughout the United Kingdom.
Next Tuesday, March 2nd, Rob will set-out from his home in Dorset for the 250-mile drive to Chester. During his trip, he will no doubt be making a few stops along the way for tea, coffee, etc, so listen out too for a few airings of the G3XFD/M callsign along the route.
On his arrival in Chester that evening, Rob will be paying a visit to the Chester & District Radio Society.
This visit, which was originally scheduled for last year, but unfortunately had to be postponed at the last minute, will be his third to the club.
The club meets most Tuesdays at the Burley Memorial Hall, Common Lane, Waverton, Chester, CH3 7QN at 7.30pm.
Visitors are most welcome to attend.
Rob will be returning home the following day
via Shrewsbury and Dudley in Worcestershire, where he'll be stopping-off to see PW Valve & Vintage author Phil Cadman G4JCP.
