Pontefract & District ARS special event stations
The Pontefract & District Amateur Radio Society (PDARS) are running a number of Special Event Stations this year.
Unfortunately, they have had to cancel GB0PAS, which was planned for the March visit of Walt Cunningham Apollo VII.
However, they have a number of other special event stations planned for the coming months. These include:
May 12-13 GB1AVR (Ackworth Vintage Rally). Steam rally at Water Tower Field, Ackworth.
June 4th GB0PH (Pontefract Heritage) at Pontefract Castle, Queen's Jubilee event.
July 1st gB4CON (BACON!!) Festival @ the Farm at Farmer Copley's. Pontefract.
July 8th GB0PLF (Pontefract Liquorice Festival) in Pontefract Town Centre.
July 21-22 GB1AVR Yet another Ackworth Vintage Rally at same QTH
August 1st GB0YD (Yorkshire Day) QTH to be confirmed, somewhere wild & remote and near Black Sheep!
October 1-20 GB0PAS (Pontefract Astronomical Society) Talk by Harrison Schmitt (Apollo XVII)
October 19-21st GB1PS (1st Pontefract Scouts) JOTA at Scout HQ.
There are others, yet to be confirmed.
