Snow impacts Amateur Radio events
The heavy snowfall Saturday night resulted in a much reduced turnout at the Canvey Rally and the cancellation of this Tuesday's Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society meeting.
On the Essex Ham web site Pete Sipple M0PSX reports that the Canvey Rally was quieter than usual with only around 200 people attending.
Usually by 10:30 the car park is packed but this year, with the car park under 4 or 5 inches of snow, there were plenty of parking spaces.

Another victim of the weather is the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS) meeting planned for Tuesday, Feruary 7.
Mark Sanderson M0IEO was going to give a talk on Amateur Radio Self Build Kits, but this has now been cancelled.
The CARS Foundation course is NOT affected and this Thursday's class in Danbury Village Hall will be taking place as usual at 7pm.
