175th anniversary of independence of Belgium

2005 is the 175th anniversary of the independence of Belgium, and all Belgian amateurs may use the prefix ‘OO’ instead of their usual ‘ON’ for the whole of the year.

There is a ‘175 Years Belgium Award’ available for working OO stations during the year.
