SARL IARU fund for 2005 needs your support

The South African Amateur Radio Development Trust will be continuing raising funds for the SARL IARU fund to enable the SARL to meet its payment commitments to the IARU within the time frame. Fees for 2005 are due by June.

In September 2005 the tri-annual IARU Region 1 con-ference will be held in Switzerland. As a major player in Africa, at least one delegate must represent the South Africa African Radio League, preferably more. Current membership fees do not cover the cost involved.

The fees for 2004 were paid at the end of November thanks to the gener-ous support of Radio Amateurs and clubs. The SA Amateur Radio Development Trust thanks all those who have contributed. R14 921 was collected.

The amount in Rand paid to the IARU was R12 204. The balance carried over to the 2005 appeal is R1 916,00. A full list of donors can be viewed on www.amateurradio.org.za.
