One Century of Portland Bill Lighthouse

Ladies and Gentlefolk,

To mark the occasion of 100 years operational duty of Portland Bill Lighthouse, Portland, Dorset, I am pleased to announce that the callsign GB1CPB, representing GB 1 Century Portland Bill, will be in use, (as often as possible) for one year, from the 11th January 2006 to 11th January 2007.

Activity on 40 and 20Mtrs will take place this coming Wednesday, hopefully, starting in the morning and on through to sunset at least.

It is anticipated that there will be some suitable FM satellite passes to work too.
