The Irish Radio Transmitters Society AGM 2006

This year's IRTS AGM is being held on Sunday April 23rd at the Vienna Woods Hotel in Cork and is being hosted by Cork Radio Club.

The weekend will follow the usual format with a dinner on the Saturday night, a rally on Sunday and the Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday afternoon. The Vienna Woods Hotel is located on the eastern side of Cork City just off the Glanmire roundabout at the city side of Glanmire village.

It is a unique 50 bedroom luxury hotel, originally an 18th Century country house, set in 20 acres of mature woodland with excellent facilities and secure parking.

For those wishing to stay overnight, only double rooms are available at the hotel and these can only be booked through Dave EI4BZ on 087-6290574. However, rooms are also available at the neighbouring Ibis Hotel at a cost of €59.00 for a single room and €69.00 for a double room. Breakfast costs €8.50. For day trippers, breakfast will be available at the Vienna Woods Hotel until 11:00 and light refreshments will be available in the bar area from early morning. A carvery lunch will also be available at the venue.

Those wishing to bring the XYL for the day should note that the new Mahon Point shopping centre is only minutes away through the Jack Lynch Tunnel.
