Jack Wylie Trophy award

John Kelly, GM3TCW, recently celebrated 30 years of reading the GB2RS news service on 80m.

To mark the event, John was awarded the RSGB Jack Wylie Trophy. This trophy is given to the person or persons who have done the most for amateur radio in Scotland over the past year or period of years.

The trophy was presented to John at a special event organised by the Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service Amateur Radio Club held on Friday 9 December 2005. Members of John's club - Mid-Lanark Amateur Radio Society - also attended.

John also received a vintage microphone in appreciation of his 30 years of service, and a bouquet of flowers was given to John's wife Mary.
