SA-AWA event at Rand Airport

The Southern African Antique Wireless Association
(SA-AWA), in conjuction with the Muddlers Net will be holding an Open Day entitled 'Radio Technology - The Old and the New' at the Transvaal Aviation Club, at Rand Airport, on Saturday the 4th February 2006.

Commencing at 10:00 CAT, there will be a flea market/boot sale, displays of antique radio's as well as a featuring of new radio technology such as APRS, the latest in home brew and digital radio's.

Additional attractions will be visits to the South African Airways Museum, overflights of aircraft old and new, as well as a visit to the retired "Le-bombo", one of SAA's first Boeing 747's. Full catering, including large screen TV, will be available, as well as braai fires for those who prefer home cooking.
