Radio Technology in Action Roadshow
to visit Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town
Following the success of the Radio Technology in Action programme
presented at the National Amateur Radio Centre in Gauteng for the
past two years, the SARL will be taking the RTA programme on a road
show to other metropolitan areas.
The SARL is working with local clubs to set up dates for each area
and have finalised the following two dates.
In Durban the RTA will be presented at the University of KwaZulu-Natal
on Saturday 15 July 2006. The Gauteng event will be held at the
National Amateur Radio Centre on Saturday 19 August 2006. Dates
for the Eastern and Western Cape will be announced soon.
The objective of the RTA programme is to present a day of lectures
and demonstrations of cutting edge technology and operating skills.
The programme will have two streams catering for the diverse interest
of radio Amateurs, Shortwave Listeners and Technologists.
Authors who would like to present papers at one or all the RTA's
are invited to send a brief summary of the presentation to rta@sarl.org.za
before 30 January 2006.
