USA company backs joint Ultra Wide

The joint AMSAT-UK, UK Microwave Group and RSGB submission to the
critical European Radiocommunications Office (ERO) consultation
on Ultra Wide Band (UWB)

The joint response has now received backing from Bob Fontana the

Bob Fontana says he fully agrees with the stance of the Joint submission
that UWB should be restricted to frequencies above 6 GHz.

It is good to see a leading UWB company acknowledge that this new
mode should be restricted to frequencies above 6 GHz.
It is not just Amateur Bands that are threatened by proposals to
allow UWB to use frequencies below 6 GHz. WIMAX, Fixed Service operators,
Telecoms companies
and Radio Astronomy would all be affected.
