New Chair for DARC International Affairs Committee

With effect from 1st January 2007 Dennis M. Haertig, M.A., DL7RBI was appointed Chair of the Deutscher Amateur Radio Club (DARC) International Affairs committee.

Dennis takes over from Hans H. Ehlers, DF5UG.

The main tasks of the committee are:

1. Lobbying DARC interests towards the IARU as well as foreign Amateur Radio Societies, foreign authorities, institutions and individual groups and persons.

2. Coordination of information and interests the other way around towards the DARC and its several groups (e.g. Committees, Staffs, Working Groups, Individual Members).

3. Helping German Radio Amateurs (DARC-members) who live abroad.

4. Helping foreign Amateur Radio Societies, Groups and individuals while visiting Germany for the purpose of an event or for private matters
