GB4FUN receives new equipment donations

GB4FUN – the Radio Society of Great Britain’s amateur radio demonstration vehicle - has been decked out with some great new equipment, thanks to the generosity of two major radio firms.

Radio maker Yaesu has donated a FT-987 for use in GB4FUN while Nevada has provided a Comet CHA-250B wideband HF aerial.

The equipment will help GB4FUN and its operator, Carlos Eavis, G0AKI, share the fun and excitement of amateur radio and science with school children up and down the country.

Carlos thanked Nevada and Yaesu for their donations. “GB4FUN relies on the generosity of supporters, both companies and individuals, to ensure that it has up-to-date equipment. We are always grateful when companies dip into their own pockets to provide us with new equipment.”
