Echolink - ISS School Contact - Romeo Elementary in Dunnellon, Florida

An International Space Station Expedition 14 ARISS school contact has been planned with students at Romeo Elementary in Dunnellon, Florida, USA, on Wednesday, 17 Jan. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 17:53UTC.

Although the Space Station will be out of range of the UK during the contact, you may be able to hear the audio via Echolink. Try these Echolink nodes - AMSAT node 101 377 and JK1ZRW node 277 208 .

In the Essex area one of the Echolink nodes is at Chelmsford - MB7IDA on 144.8375 MHz (110.9 Hz CTCSS required) and there are many other nodes on 6m, 2m and 70cm around the country.

Sometimes the astronauts on the Space Station call CQ on 145.800 MHz FM after a school contact, so it may be worth listening to that frequency when the Space Stations comes within range. If you hear a CQ on 145.8 switch your -600 kHz repeater shift in and respond on 145.2 which is the frequency they listen for replies.
