Amateur Satellite Pehuensat to be launched in PSLV on January 10th

The Pehuensat-1 Satellite, developed by the University of Comahue jointly with the Argentine Association for Space Technology (AATE) will be launched January 10 with ISRO's PSLV C-7. This is the first payload from Argentina to fly in a launch vehicle from India.

The Pehuensat-1 will transmit voice messages in three languages, English, Hindi and Spanish and will be heard on 145.825 Mhz plus an AX25 packet following the voice message.

Orbital information of Pehuensat will be available in English and Spanish at http://www.aate.org/ after the PSLV places it in orbit and the orbital parameters are sent by ISRO.

I look forward to any comment or inquiry about the satellite at deleon@<no spam>aate.org
