Special event stationsLook for special event station 8J1ANT to be active until 31 March to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Japanese Scientific Research Expeditions in Antarctica. The 8J1ANT special station will be active from the JARL building in Tokyo, operated by JA Hams. The Belgian Air Force Amateur Radio Association is operating special event stations ON60AF, ON60AP and ON60BAF until 1 October 2007 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Belgian Air Force. Alex Johnsen, GM0DHZ, will be operating as 3V8SS from Tunisia for five weeks from 7 January 2007. He will be active holiday-style on 80-10m and possibly 160m, CW and SSB. Mirko, DG9BHQ, will be the new operator at Neumayer Base, Antarctica. He will be there from December 2006 through February 2008. Mitko, LZ1UQ, will be active as LZ0A from the Bulgarian base St Kliment Ohridski on Livingston Island, South Shetland Islands until 1 March 2007.
