Radio hams in Estonia gain 70 MHz band

Gerd Latzin, DL2SB, of the Deutscher Amateur Radio Club International Liaison Committee reports that the 70 MHz band has been assigned to amateur radio on a secondary basis in Estonia since December 23.

This regulation applies to the license classes A, B and D. Foreign radio amateurs with a CEPT license may operate on 70 MHz as well.

Permitted operating modes include CW, SSB, AM, FM and MGM. The maximum output power allowed is 100 watts for the license classes A/B and 10 watts for class D on 70140 to 70300 kHz.
