GB100BOS 'Birthplace of Scouting'GB 100 BOS will be active from the District Scout Headquarters in Birkenhead, from January 20th to 27th to celebrate Birkenhead's role as the birthplace of scouting. On 24th January 1908 Lord Baden Powell publicly inaugurated the Scout Movement at a meeting held at the Old YMCA in Birkenhead Town Centre, only a matters of yards from the present District Scout Headquarters.
