The Value of Radio SpectrumOn Tuesday, the UK Regulator Ofcom announced a consultation that put a value of £554,00 per 2 x 1MHz on spectrum at 2 GHz. The consultation titled "Authorisation of terrestrial mobile networks complementary to 2 GHz mobile satellite systems" said: "We should set AIP [Administered Incentive Pricing] at a level consistent
with current rates of AIP for other comparable bands around 2GHz. We consider
the relevant benchmark rates to be in the region of £554,000 - £713,000
