Amateur Radio Training

A new site has been set up to help people learn about amateur radio.

It has been designed to centralise all the current available learning sites in one place.  Links are available to OFCOM documents and everything needed to learn about amateur radio in the UK.

Although there are sections for all three licence classes, the site is also available for self training by any amateur.
It may well be that you want to learn more about learning Morse code or data modes for example, even though you may have been licensed for many years.

There is a forum where anyone can ask questions and registered tutors are on hand to answer.  We do not consider any question to be a stupid one.

We would be happy to receive information about the courses that other clubs are running and these can be added to the event calendar.  It would be useful to know how prospective licensees around the country could get in touch with their local clubs for training.

Should you wish to help by answering questions, we would be very happy to have help from other registered instructors.  We hope to have a safe community for people to learn and share with each other.

Once registered, a member gets additional benefits such as a whole section of mini-lessons, designed to be quick to read and small enough to be assimilated easily.  These are being developed continually and can be read and re-read as required.

The site is located at http://www.amateurradiotraining.org and registration is free.

We hope to see you on Amateur Radio Training soon!
