The Times - Amateur Thermonuclear FusionAn advert placed in the British amateur radio magazine RadCom has got a mention in the Times newspaper. The Wanted column in the February 2009 issue of RadCom carried an advert from Christopher Strevens G4ZHT who was looking for a 1 KW HF Linear amplifier to use in thermonuclear fusion experiments. This novel use for an HF amplifier was picked up by the Times newspaper and on 27th Jan they published a story imaginatively titled 'Nuclear reaction fear in land of the Wombles'.
