Launch of Amateur Satellites to be broadcast on web

On the AMSAT Bulletin Board Masa JN1GKZ provides more information on the launch of five new Amateur Radio satellites this Friday.

The launch is currently scheduled for 03:54-04:16 GMT on Friday 23rd January and it will be broadcast live on the web at http://www.jaxa.jp/countdown/f15/live/index_e.html

On the AMSAT-BB Masa JN1GKZ writes:
Five Japanese satellites will be launched by H-IIA F15 at 23rd Jan. Launch window is 03:54-04:16z. Here is the latest info about the new satelltes.

1. Keps

Pre-launched keps is not release. Keps will be release in 30min or later after launch. PRISM team announces the keps will show on their blog site ASAP. http://prismblog365.blog14.fc2.com/

PRISM team announces first day's estimated pass time at Tokyo as followings.

STARS team also announces windows at Kagawa.

South American and North American stations will hear the very first new babys voice.

2. Launch live show
The JAXA will broadcast launch live show via internet.

(1) Kagayaki
9600bps packet or CW(FM) on 437.375MHz.

(2) STARS
CW transmission will be started 200sec after separation.
Mother satellite: CW 437.305MHz
Daughter satellite: CW 437.275MHz

No operation on amateur band.
Initial operaion is on S band. The frequency is not open. Amateur band operation will be start around middle of Feb or later.
