AO-7 alive and well

The grand old bird, AO-7 continues to surprise.

On Monday 18 January 2010, Pierre ZS6BB in KG43eu managed to work Josep EA6SA in JM19lo via AO-7 mode B.

According to Tiny Locator this is a distance of 7,766 km.

This contact is most likely the QSO over the longest distance ever made (claimed), rather odd, considering that the satellite was launched in 1974, 36 years ago.

73, Pierre ZS6BB
