Jimmy GI3GGY is the longest serving reader on the RSGB GB2RS news service and he put out a strong signal across the UK and Europe from his station on 40 metres. He was associated with Radio Free Derry which ran from 1969 to 1972 and his recording of Military radio communications made in 1972 attracted widespread media coverage.
