Collision risk for amateur radio satellite

It is reported that the Ukraine satellite Sich 1 will come within 429 metres of colliding with the Amateur Radio satellite Compass 1 (437.275 MHz CW)

This is the second near-hit on an Amateur Radio satellite in a month.

On January 7 the Russian COSMOS 1743 rocket body came within a 100 metres of SEEDS (CO-66).

On the AMSAT bulletin board Mike DK3WN writes:

United States Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) has identified predicted close approach between COMPASS-1 (#32787) and SICH-1 (#23657).

Jan 22 14:27 UTC - predicted distance: 429 m (overall)

Can someone listen to the COMPASS-1 beacon (437.275 MHz CW) after this time, please?

It’s the first US East-Coast pass on this day. Any reports are very appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

73, Mike DK3WN
