Europe to South America on HO-68

Luiz Pirajá PS8RF and Juan Antonio EA4CYQ have achieved what is believed to be the first SSB contact between Europe and South America on the Amateur Radio satellite HO-68.

On the AMSAT bulletin board Juan writes:

Yesterday evening 240110 at 2327z Piraja PS8RF at GI84ow and me EA4CYQ at IM78bw made a contact in SSB mode through HO68. I think it is the first South America - Europe contact of 7477 Km.

After that I worked Canada VE2DWE and several USA stations KB1RVT, K3SZH and KC9ELU 6666 Km. far away.

This sat works flawlesly, congratulations to HOPE-1 team.
