Derby Telegraph - radio amateurs support RNLI

The Derby Telegraph newspaper reports that amateur radio enthusiasts will use the airwaves to help raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

It says that Derby and District Amateur Radio Society members Dave Allsebrook and Dave Goodwill will be sponsored to use a shortwave radio to contact as many other amateur operators as possible in 24 hours.

They will be using the callsign GB1LBD.
