SOS Radio WeekThis annual event takes place from 00:00 on Saturday 23 Jan until 23:59 on Sunday 31st Jan to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The RNLI provides a 24-hour life saving service in the seas and waters around the coast of the British Isles. To go on saving lives at sea means training and equipping their volunteer crews, and SOS Radio Week is the perfect opportunity for radio amateurs to lend their support to this charity. The Snowdonia Radio Company (SRC) have very kindly agreed to donate two prizes and the winners of them may pick any one of SRC's own antenna products each. The first prize will be awarded to the individual who makes the most contacts during the event and the second prize is being donated to encourage new licensees to get involved in their club's special event station.
