Well trodden!

Holtankollen LA/TM-049, Ruardean Hill G/WB-021 and The Cloud G/SP-015. What have these SOTA summits got in common?

The answer is that they each appear to be the target of individual obsession!

Kjell Eriksen LA1KHA has activated Holtankollen, in the Norwegian region of Telemark over 70 times, despite the fact that the points are only awarded once per calendar year!

Walt Davidson G3NYY only commenced SOTA (Summits on the Air) activating in October 2009, but has already completed many activations of his local Ruardean Hill G/WB-021, as well as several others.

Tom Read M1EYP is a SOTA Mountain Goat, but likes to activate The Cloud G/SP-015 on his way to work in a morning, and in the RSGB VHF activity contests.

In doing so, Tom has activated The Cloud well over 300 times out of his 900+ SOTA activations since 2002.

Summits on the Air (SOTA) is an award scheme for radio amateurs and shortwave listeners that encourages portable operation in mountainous areas. More information is at:
