28 MHz Handheld Amateur Radio contact

A video by WD0AKX shows what can be done with just a few watts from a handheld radio on 28 MHz.

The YouTube description reads:
In this video I am using my Magnum 1012 SSB, AM and FM hand held dual band 10 and 12 meter portable with the LRD 1012 long duck antenna.

There is also an easy radio mod for 11 meters if desired although I have not done this. Here you will see me make a contact with WM9V in Fla.
I have been making contacts all over the states just standing outside in the back yard using AM, SSB, and FM modes. I can copy CW just fine but this radio will not TX in CW mode at this time. I may try to mod it later for this if I find any info on that.
