Epsom scouts £40,000 may benefit Radio Amateurs
A scout group's £40,000 grant for a new hall may benefit amateur radio.
The Epsom Guardian reports that the 7th Epsom Methodist Scout Group, which has 350 young members, was awarded the grant by Viridor Credits to help fund the replacement of their current scout hut which was built in 1964.
The new youth and community hall will provide a larger and more modern space for the Scouts and other organisations for activities such as amateur radio.
