Last picture from ARISSat-1?
Ted, G6HMS sent this message to Southgate News regarding the final hours of the amateur radio satellite ARISsat-1.
He says:
On 3rd January 2012, on the last pass of ARISSat-1, I copied a picture at 16.51 which I believe was the last pass over the UK and Europe.
The heading of the antenna was 257 degrees azimuth with only a 3 degree elevation.
I received just one picture before the satellite disappeared over the horizon.
You can view it via this link http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ariss/SSTV/archive.php
It is on the right hand collumn 5th one down.
It was received using a 'MMSSTV' programme which verified the time as 16.51 on 3rd January 2012.
I'd be interested to know if anyone in the UK or Europe has a picture after this time as this was the last pass.
Regards
Ted Veall G6HMS
