DIY Amateur Radio promotion

Here's a simple but effective idea from Rod, VK2DAY for promoting our hobby ..

"During the week, I had to pick up my car after a warranty repair. While waiting for it to be washed, and finally brought around to be picked up, I looked for a magazine to read. Low and behold I came across a number of AR magazines.

I had a read through the AR mags albeit a year old, but it soon dawned on me that this would be a great way of killing two birds with one stone. What to do with old AR mags that we don't want, plus spread the word and idea of Amateur Radio at the same time. If you really do want to part with them !!!

Drop moderate numbers of AR mags off at your local Doctor, Dentist or any other waiting rooms you know of so others can become familiar with our hobby and a great way of recycling and advertising Amateur Radio at the same time."
