Brush-up on your Chinese

With the first IRLP node 3374 being in operation fully for one week, out of Shenzhen in China, operators have been calling in from around the world on a daily basis.

Michael W7RAT who put it all together, was pleased that heeps of operators checked in and he would like to say thank-you to all.

Michael informs us that the node will be left in the hands of a local operator and will be operating simplex, but it will soon be linked to four UHF repeaters in Shenzhen.

The other news filtering through is that a second IRLP node is in the pipe-line and will be simplex in Tiajin, a large city near Beijing. It appears that Michael has started the IRLP ball rolling in China.
