GB2RS Broadcast Schedule Update

Listeners to GB2RS in East Kent will probably be aware that the news reading scheduled for 6.00pm local time via the Canterbury repeater on 433.150MHz has been discontinued for some while.

We are pleased to announce that Matt Curtis, M1CMN, is commencing the relay of the G4NJH news reading over the Folkestone repeater on 145.750MHz at 6.00pm. This service commences on Sunday 3 July.

Relays of this kind have to be authorised via the GB2RS News Manager Gordon Adams, G3LEQ, who may be contacted on 01 565 652 652 for further information.

They are not felt to be necessary where existing newsreader coverage already takes place on the same band. It should also be noted that Ofcom will not permit the use of Internet Gateways for this purpose.

Printed copies of the GB2RS schedule may be obtained from the Amateur Radio Department at RSGB HQ.
