RSGB publishes guidance on Ofcom consultation

The Radio Society of Great Britain has published a guidance document on its website, providing amateur radio enthusiasts with advice on how they might respond to communications regulator Ofcom’s proposed reforms to amateur radio licensing.

The guidance lists the various questions set out in Ofcom’s consultation and outlines possible answers that radio amateurs could submit.

The document was drawn up by the RSGB following consultation with radio amateurs at regional road shows, during visits to local clubs and from a large volume of email and written correspondence received from both members and non-members of the society.

Amateurs are reminded that they need to get their responses into Ofcom by 18 August. Copies of Ofcom’s consultation are available on its website.

E-mail responses should be sent to:
amateurradio<no spam>@ofcom.org.uk,
while letters should be marked with the title of the consultation and posted to:
Amateur Radio Licensing, Ofcom, Riverside House, 2A Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1 9HA

Note: Remove the <no spam> when sending an email
