Amateur Satellite Launch Wednesday 26th JulyAt 19:43:00 UTC on Wednesday 26th of July we will see the largest ever mass launch of Amateur Satellites. They will be carried into orbit by a DNEPR-1LV rocket from the Kazakstan Baikonur Cosmodrome. This launch was originally planned for 28th June but was posptoned. So far it has been confirmed that there will be 14 Amateur satellites onboard. Thirteen Amateur CubeSats (10cm by 10cm, weighing 1 kg), and an Italian Amateur Satellite PiCPoT which will be carrying 3 cameras to take images of the earth. They'll certainly be no shortage of signals to listen for after launch. As well as VHF/UHF some of the satellites will also use the 2.4 and 5
GHz For information on PiCPoT and the frequencies of all the CubeSats see
