Monitoring
Monthly - Major Success at RIAT
Monitoring Monthly, the prime mover UK listening magazine, had a spectacular
weekend at the Royal International Air Tattoo RIAT2006 to which it was
invited by the organisers.
"The MM stand was bustling throughout the whole event", according
to Monitoring Monthly's editor, Kevin Nice.
"So successful was our appearance that we completely sold out our
entire remaining stocks of the launch and the May issues of the highly
popular MM magazine".
"We were pleased to welcome many leading lights of the hobby such
as representatives from PROMA and MILSCAN in addition to senior RIAT officials.
Many of the display team members also visited the Monitoring Monthly stand
and were interviewed by 'Ops Normal's' Pat Carty. Meanwhile MM reporter
Ian Dolye had a busy weekend interviewing other key players, look out
for future MM coverage of this. The six members of the MM stand team,
were delighted to welcome
the many lucky ticket winners from our RIAT competition."
"There proved to be much interest in the live Kinetic Aviation SBS-1
demonstration on the MM stand. Also in great demand was our RIAT2006 frequency
list, which was being constantly updated as we gathered up to the minute
frequency details, both from our own monitoring activities and with the
help of various authoritative sources.
Kevin added: "We are very grateful to the RAF Charitable Trust for
the opportunity to attend. Such was the success of our attendance and
coverage of the Tattoo, that we keenly accepted the organisers invitation
to return next year".
If you didn't go to the Tattoo, we recommend you make it next year, in
the mean time look out for MM coverage in the September issue and don't
forget that the August will be on-sale 8 August 2006.
The July issue which features seven product evaluations including 3 new
WiNRADiOs, the UBC72XLT with CloseCall, SoftRock SDR Kit, bhi ANEM noise
eliminator and the Watson Digi-Hunter is on-sale now. All this, plus regular
coverage of the whole spectrum go to fill the 100 pages of pure quality.
