Australian Remembrance Day Contest
This year's Remembrance Day Contest will commence at 08:00 UTC on Saturday
12th August and run until 08:00 UTC on Sunday 13th August.
In response to some emails this week that asked:-
Can I submit the "same" HF log into both the "HF Transmitting
phone section" AND the "single operator transmitting phone section"?
Effectively doubling the counted points for my State?
I would like to reiterate that if you are operating as a Single operator
on HF or VHF then you will need to submit a separate log for each of those
categories.
The Categories are:
(a) High Frequency for operation on bands below 50 MHz;
(b) Very High Frequency for operation on and above 50 MHz
Operators may enter each Cat., but separate logs must be submitted for
each Cat. and for each Callsign used in that Cat. by the operator.
...................
You may enter as:
(a) Single Operator
(b) Multi-operator
..................
Within each Category the Sections are:
(a) Transmitting Phone (FM, SSB);
(b) Transmitting CW (CW); Note: CW in this context means CW only; any
other digital modes such as Packet, RTTY, AMTOR, PSK31, etc are excluded
from the contest.
(c) Transmitting Open:- (a) Transmitting Phone (FM, SSB);and :- (b) Transmitting
CW;
(d) Receiving (a), (b) or (c).
This year to avoid any problems with any missing
electronic logs, the email address rdlogs@wia.org.au is being automatically
redirected to Ian Godsil, Trevor Quick and to myself, VK4OD.
Logs sent by snail mail will, on receipt, be Date Stamped and Serial
Numbered, then electronically scanned and forwarded to Ian and Trevor
within 3 days of receipt.
