GB3RAL now licenced for 40 and 60 MHz

The National Frequency Assignment Panel (NFAP) have agreed the use of 40.050 MHz and 60.050 MHz by GB3RAL at Rutherford Appleton Laboratories near Oxford and the UK regulator Ofcom has issued the NoV's.

This means that GB3RAL will eventually have beacons operating at 5, 28, 40, 50, 60 and 70 MHz which will create a valuable propagation resource for Radio Amateurs worldwide.

It should be remembered that 40 and 60 MHz are not Amateur Radio bands.
