Scouting Centenary - Brownsea-on-Heirisson Island Camp, Perth 29 July - 3 Aug

Here in Perth, Western Australia, we will be running a camp on the above days to commemorate the centenary of Scouting, and the original Brownsea Island camp.

Heirisson Island is right in the centre of Perth, in the Swan River, with the WACA on one bank of the river (the cricket ground for those who don't know) and the Burswood Casino on the other.

We will be operating completely portable, as there is no infrastructure on the island.

The Amateur Radio Station will be using VK6SAA callsign and will be operating HF, VHF and UHF, and hopefully we will have internet for Echolink, IRC chat etc, wireless connection courtesy of a college nearby (still under negotiation) .

Photos can be sent/received via InterACE - look for us on the list of users - either VK6SAA or VK6POP

We will also use SSTV (mostly on 14230), PSK31 (mostly on 14070)
