fiddled, literally.
1837 London's first railway station, Euston,
opens.
1843 The 'Great Britain' first iron Atlantic liner is
launched.
1843 Amelia J Bloomer invents this form of female dress.
1866 Dr M Loomis transmits signals 15 miles using kite
antennas.
1897 Marconi registers the "Wireless Telegraph and
Signal Company".
1898 First newspaper message sent from a ship to the
Daily Express, London.
1899 Royal Navy successfully trials Marconi sets during
exercises.
1912 Bradley A. Fiske patented the airplane torpedo.
1969 Neil Armstrong steps onto the surface of the moon.
