Israeli
Minister approves program to eliminate pirate radio
Israeli Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz this morning
approved an inter-ministerial program to eliminate the pirate radio infrastructure
in Israel.
The program is expected to go before the Cabinet soon for approval.
“Only last week, we saw the terrifying results of the aerial tragedy
in Brazil. The risk of an aerial tragedy in Israel as a result of pirate
radio broadcasts is no less significant,” Mofaz said. “We
must relate to it as aerial terrorism.”
