The UK to get its first Cubesat ?

Up to now, no Cubesats have been built in the United Kingdom. This may soon change thanks to students from Leicester.

A student team at Leicester University are keen to build a satellite and they contacted AMSAT-UK to find out more.

AMSAT-UK sponsored two of the students to attend all three days of the recent International Space Colloquium so they could meet other satellite designers and learn from their experiences.

Both of them found attending the Colloquium invaluable and they left with a far clearer idea of what was involved in Amateur satellite building and how to go about it.
